What is Personal Training?
Personal Training is a holistic approach to achieving your goals. A Personal Trainer takes into consideration your whole lifestyle, including nutrition, sleep, and stress to create a very personalised approach to achieving your goals. You can decide the level of support required from a Personal Trainer, depending on your time and budget, with sessions starting as little as 30 minutes which you can commit to as frequently or infrequently as you'd like.
Perhaps you're looking for extra motivation to reach a particular goal or you want to build confidence in the gym. One-to-one sessions with our dedicated trainers can make a real difference to your health and wellbeing as well as your results.
Our Personal Trainers can help you:
- Set realistic goals
- Track your physical progress
- Improve your health and wellbeing and look at your overall lifestyle
- Learn the correct technique for onsite gym equipment
- Keep your workout routine fresh and interesting
- Change your body composition and track your progress

Mitch Harper
Hi, I’m Mitch, one of the personal trainers at Leys Pools. With over 10 years of experience in the fitness industry, I enjoy helping people who may be lacking motivation, as well as regular gym users who have hit a plateau and want to improve their strength and fitness.

Sam Nugent
Hi, I’m Sam, a certified Personal Trainer with two years of experience in the fitness industry. I’ve worked as a Group Exercise Instructor and in Membership Sales, but my main passion is helping people overcome challenges and achieve their personal goals.
Fitness has played a big role in my own life. After three knee surgeries, I worked hard to rebuild my strength and return to playing football, a sport I’ve loved since I was young. This journey taught me patience, discipline, and the importance of mindset, which I now use to support others through their own challenges.
Whether you’re new to fitness, returning from injury, or working towards a new goal, I’m here to help you build confidence and make steady, lasting progress.
Kazza Clifton
Hi, my name is Kazza. I’ve been involved in sport and fitness from a young age, with football as my main passion. I’ve played for many years, coached children’s teams, and have experience in boxing, netball, and teaching PE to children aged 4–11.
I became a personal trainer because I enjoy helping people achieve their goals—whether that’s building confidence in the gym, losing weight, gaining strength, toning up, or improving sports performance. Mental health support is also important to me; while exercise isn’t a cure, it can be a powerful tool for managing stress, anxiety, and depression.
I work with a wide range of clients and have experience supporting individuals with conditions such as Fibromyalgia, Diabetes, Cancer, Sever’s disease, and Multiple Sclerosis, always tailoring training to suit individual needs.
