You don’t have to be a member of our leisure centre or have visited us before to get involved in our Big Open Weekend, so why not bring your friends and family along too?

Swimming Sessions

Free Swimming Taster Lessons

These lessons are designed to build confidence and introduce essential water skills in a fun and supportive environment, perfect for anyone new to swimming. These sessions are a great chance to dive in, learn new techniques, and enjoy our pool - exclusively free for the day! 

Taster Swimming Lessons will run from 8.30am - 9.30am on Saturday 20th September, and are suitable for ages 4 and over.

  • 8.30am - 9am: Non-Swimmer, Beginner, and Improver 
  • 9am - 9.30am: Beginner and Intermediate

Free Swimming Sessions

We're running a range of free splash-tastic swimming activities across the afternoon on our Big Open Weekend. Why don't you bring your family down for a splashing family fun session in the pool or put your swim strokes to the test in our lane swimming sessions?

Saturday 20th & Sunday 21st September -

  • Family Fun Swim: 12pm - 1pm, 1pm - 2pm and 2pm - 3pm
  • Lane Swimming: 3pm - 4pm

Fitness activities

Free Gym Pass

Saturday & Sunday: 8am - 4pm

Our friendly gym and fitness team will be on hand to help, show you around and provide free, on-the-spot inductions where you get chance to get on some of the equipment and make yourself familiar with the centre.

Free Fitness Classes

Fancy trying something new this weekend? We’ve got two completely free fitness classes as part of our Big Open Weekend, and everyone’s welcome regardless of your fitness level! 

Join us on Saturday for a chilled-out Body Balance class to stretch, unwind and reset. Then, if you're up for a bit more of a boost, come along on Sunday for a fun and energising Circuits class. Come to one or try both - it’s all about moving your way and having a good time while you do it!

Body Balance - Saturday 20th September, 1pm - 2pm

Circuits - Sunday 21st September, 10am - 11am
